Sopra Steria and Salesforce announced as Headline Sponsors for the Control Room Awards 2025

European tech leader Sopra Steria and global CRM leader Salesforce have been announced as the Headline Sponsors for the Control Room Awards 2025, the only accolades of their kind celebrating the critical, life-saving work of control room teams across the UK.

The joint sponsorship follows the collaboration between Sopra Steria and Salesforce to drive a new citizen-centric approach in emergency service response. The partnership modernises how control rooms and frontline operators interact with citizens across multiple digital channels, improving public safety and providing a more seamless, accessible experience for the public and emergency responders alike.

Now entering their eighth year, the Control Room Awards honour outstanding achievement, bravery, and commitment across the control room community, recognising the vital role played by police, fire, ambulance, coastguard and other critical control operations in keeping the public safe.

Andy Day, Business Development Director at Sopra Steria, said:

"We are proud to continue our long-standing support for the Control Room Awards and Control Room Week, shining a light on the incredible work of critical control room employees who save lives and keep our nation safe every day. Supporting the awards is part of our wider commitment to celebrating and backing these exceptional individuals and teams who so often go unseen.

Sopra Steria provides STORM Command and Control, a highly resilient system trusted by over 70% of UK police forces and many fire and rescue services, helping emergency call handlers and dispatchers respond quickly and effectively.

Salesforce, a global leader in CRM and cloud-based solutions, have collaborated with multiple police forces with the shared aim of improving the citizen journey and bring their deep understanding of public sector needs to the awards through Becky Tipper, who is now part of the Salesforce UK policing team following a 23 year career in Avon and Somerset Police’s Control Room.

Reflecting on the importance of the awards, Becky said:

"Having previously been shortlisted for Leader of the Year and having had the privilege of nominating others for these prestigious Control Room Awards, the significance of this recognition is truly personal to me. I know first-hand how important it is to recognise the dedication, compassion, resilience and professionalism shown by control room teams every single day. Salesforce is honoured to support the Control Room Awards 2025 and to champion and celebrate the incredible individuals behind the headsets.

Mike Isherwood, Co-founder of the Control Room Awards, added:

"We are thrilled to welcome Sopra Steria and Salesforce as our Headline Sponsors for 2025. Their commitment to the control room community is clear, and their support helps us ensure we give the true heroes of our emergency services the recognition they so richly deserve."

The awards are sponsored by a number of major businesses working across the control room sector, including British APCO (BAPCO), who once again demonstrate their strong commitment to the industry by sponsoring the British APCO Control Room Innovation Award.

Once again the Control Room Awards 2025 will showcase the best of the best, with categories including Bravery and Courage, Lifetime Achievement, Leader of the Year, and the newly expanded Team of the Year Award. The awards ceremony will be held on July 3, 2025, at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Hull.
